About Us

The tale is told that the night time air carries both good dreams and bad dreams. The dreamcatcher traps bad dreams in its web while allowing good dreams to pass to the sleeping person below. With the first light of day the bad dreams wither and die in the dreamcatcher's web.

The Dreamcatcher’s Inn was originally opened in the late-1800’s as a hotel named the “Villa on the St. Lawrence.” It was then bought and opened in 1923 by W.G. Woodman and was operated as The Woodman House for the next 80 years. In October of 2003, the property was bought by Larry and Kim Maracle who have done extensive renovations and restorations to the house. “The Dreamcatcher’s” opened on July 15, 2005.
